It is always interesting to see, which company is the first sponsor of the Meeting C++ conference. While for a lot of sponsors the decision is easy, often it includes some internal processes that aren't that fast. Plus that some people might still be just arriving from their easter holiday today just to see Meeting C++ 2016 announced.

Great news: Since yesterday, both of the keynotes from this years Meeting C++ conference are on youtube! Both keynote speakers chose to speak on a specific topic, and delivered very well. There is also a playlist for Meeting C++ 2015.

Yesterday at midnight the feedback period ended. Over 100 people provided feedback in voting on talks and speakers in a range between 0 - 5 and/or commenting on the talks. Also the ability to give general feedback to me was used a lot, thanks!

This year for the very first time we had lightning talks at the Meeting C++ conference. Two sessions with each 5 lightning talks were held. Eight of them were submitted by the attendees, two others I could organize: the lightning talk about brigand I had seen previously at CppCon, a project worth supporting, and the lightning talk on clang format and tidy by Daniel Jasper who works on the team of Chandler Carruth.

I can announce Cevelop as a new sponsor! Its very close to the event, so I think this is really the last sponsor that will be at Meeting C++ 2015. And that's only, because Peter Sommerlad is already there as a speaker. He did approach me today about sponsoring for his IDE Cevelop:

Earlier this year, Undo Software gave a demonstration of their abilities at my user group, it was quite impressive. I had seen this last year in a lightning talk at CppCon, but seeing this as a full presentation was very interesting. So I am very happy to announce, that Undo Software joins this years conference as a Gold Sponsor!

This year, I reservered 2 slots on the schedule for lightning talks, which is the last part in the schedule to fill out. In order to give a lighting talk at Meeting C++, you have to be attending the confernce, it does not matter if you are attendee, speaker or staff member, if you'd like to submit a lightning talk, think about what you wanna talk.

Meeting C++ 2015 will be happening in a few weeks, and the event is almost fully booked. We will be even 50 people more then I expected. A lot of companies have already joined Meeting C++ as sponsors, but there is a still the chance to join them, and be a sponsor too!
