Yesterday at midnight the feedback period ended. Over 100 people provided feedback in voting on talks and speakers in a range between 0 - 5 and/or commenting on the talks. Also the ability to give general feedback to me was used a lot, thanks!

Conference feedback

I begin to understand in which ways I need to improve the processes that make up things like the feedback and voting system, which at the end has a huge influence on the program. The popular track is mainly made up of the talks that are the most popular in the voting, I will add tags and a selectable category (beginner, overview, expert ...) for next year. Also I will only allow returning/experienced speakers on the main stage, as speaking infront of 400+ people isn't everybodies deal.

Also, the location will change a lot for next year. We'll be in the same place, but it will be very different. It is pretty much 11 more month until the next Meeting C++, and by March I'll announce some more details on the 5th Meeting C++ conference.

From the feedback I know that only a few talks did not go as well as expected, a lot of talks were received very well. The hotel did - like last year - a great job in providing a wunderful venue for the event. In this year Joel Falcou has managed to be 2nd best speaker and giving the best received talk! The best speaker is Chandler Carruth, like last year, the opening keynote has left quite an impression on everybody!

Videos & Slides

I will upload the slides I already have to the website, the keynote from chandler carruth is rendering right now, I try to also release the keynote from Lars Knoll this or next week. As the recordings are mostly the speaker only, its a bit of heavy video editing for the keynotes and talks from Track A.
