Shortly a few words about the statistics for may. May was a busy month with me visiting and speaking at C++Now 2013 at Aspen, Colorado. While it was a nice trip, I was also busy with the end for the call for papers, and letting the committee do the vote etc. So, except writing a short trip report for C++Now, I didn't do much on the site in may that was visible to the visitor. Still, in may, There have been 6209 visits on the website:

The Call for Papers for this years Meeting C++ conference has ended last week wednesday. Currently the voting is going on, the Committee can vote between 0 and 5 on every submitted talk. The deadline for this is May 30th. There have been submitted 39 Talks by 29 Speakers. The theme track on UI will be a bit shorter then planned, so most likely not spanning the full length of the conference. Also 2 speakers were too late, and could not submit their 4 talks in total.

As far as I know, there will be 4 User Group Meetings in May, 3 in Germany (Berlin, Dresden, Düsseldorf) and the C++ User Group London meets the first time! So, London will have its first meeting, and Dresden meets for the 2nd time, last time 50 people visited in Dresden. There will be a talk about Domain Driven Design in Dresden, at London you will get the chance to listen to a talk about SOCI afaik.

Some numbers about march. March was a special month, as the announcement for this years Meeting C++ Conference was finally ready. Two other events changed a lot too in March: a tweet and the start about C++14/Pre-Bristol Paper series.

This years conference has just been announced, and with this, our Call for Papers has started. A few details on this process, I'd like to share, as its a bit different as last years.

Finally I can announce this years Meeting C++ conference! After last years great success, we will meet again for 2 days full of C++ in Germany this Fall. Meeting C++ 2013 will be again at the 2nd weekend of November (8./9.11.2013). This time the conference will take place at the Lindner Congresshotel in Düsseldorf. For this year there will be 25 Talks and up to 2 keynotes for the 250 attendees at the conference!

A few short paragraphs about Meeting C++ related numbers from February. February is the shortest month in the year, so from the start, I expected not to be above January or to be able to report anything special here. I expected more traffic from google, as the blog draws some search hits to the site, which has become true. January came very close to 3k hits, so I expected to have something around 2k hits for February.

January was a busy month, we almost received 3k hits on the site. January brought also some changes, as there is now a newsletter, a blog, a job section and other new stuff on the website.

In Febuary there are 3 User Group Meetings, Berlin and Düsseldorf have their monthly Meeting, and the belgian User Group meets also. There is also a C++ User Group in Oslo, but there next meeting is not yet scheduled. Maybe some of the trolls could join them :)
