The two week period for voting on the submitted talks for Meeting C++ 2014 has just ended. In total 59 people voted on all talks. The result is a very clear vote for the Top6 talks, the top talk got 251 points. The results still make it hard to pick the other talks, I expect the program to be fully online at mid of may the earliest.

This years Meeting C++ conference will feature again like last year an opening and closing keynote. I'd like to thank Eric Niebler and Tony van Eerd for last years great keynotes. So, as they raised the bar a little, it wasn't easy to pick the right person for each keynote.

Even more C++ user groups are meeting in February, and a few user groups are new too. More then two years ago, in December 2011, I started my own C++ user group in Düsseldorf, now in most parts of germany a C++ user group exists or is in its planning stage.
