Prescott Instruments Ltd provide polymer testing solutions to companies around the world. Our main customers range from world-leading tyre manufacturers to smaller rubber producers and testing laboratories.
In addition to manufacturing test equipment, we also provide ongoing technical support and service maintenance. We liaise with customers directly and through our network of agents to provide the solution that fits their needs.
Our teams comprise of electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, software engineers and specialist consultants who work around the clock and help our clients across the globe. We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Software Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team player. You will be a lead developer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products. You should have outstanding leadership skills and be comfortable communicating with customers on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software for specialist testing instruments by writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
- Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
- Provide regular direct customer support over the phone or on-site
- Remotely diagnose any problems using remote tools
- Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure projects meet business objectives and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) or suitable equivalent qualification
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Ability to multi-task, organise, and work independently
