C++ User Group Meetings in December 2013

This December feels a bit special, as my own user group was founded 2 years ago. We'll celebrate with cake and a C++ quiz! Also, a few other C++ User Groups do meet:

• 11.12 C++ User Group San Francisco/Bay Area
• 12.12 C++ User Group San Antonio - 2 talks
• 12.12 C++ User Group London
• 12.12 C++ User Group Dresden - virtual inheritance & CRTP
• 17.12 C++ User Group Berlin - the C++11 Memory Model
• 18.12 C++ User Group Düsseldorf - 2 years! We*ll have cake and a C++ quiz!

So, this time there are only a few User Groups meeting. This might have to do with December already beeing occupied by all kind of activities! Some User Groups already have announced their next meetings for January.

And, I recently have blogged about founding a C++ User Group. I started over 2 years ago with community work for MeeGo, after MeeGo had its final destination being different as most of us had hoped, I decided to not continue with Tizen, Mer or other Platforms. Still, I did not wanted to stop the communitywork, and hence the first C++ User Group was born. A year later I helped to get the C++ User Group in Berlin started, followed by Dresden and Hamburg. Also London did meet this year in May for the first time. I hope we see more C++ User Groups in Europe by next year, I already know about some plans. Also there is a planned section about C++ User Groups at isocpp.org...
