Paul Keir

Paul Keir is a Lecturer in Games Technology at the University of the West of Scotland; with research interests in compilers, programming languages, and high performance computing. He has over 30 peer reviewed publications, and contributes regularly to a range of open-source C++ projects.

Paul is a member of ACM SIGPLAN, ACCU, and the Khronos SYCL and OpenCL Advisory Panels; and a regular attendee of the BSI ISO C++ Panel meetings. Prior to his current position, Paul worked in the games industry, before obtaining his doctorate in Computing Science from the University of Glasgow in 2012, and leading the contribution of Codeplay Software to the EU research projects: LPGPU and CARP.
