Shortly a few words about the statistics for may. May was a busy month with me visiting and speaking at C++Now 2013 at Aspen, Colorado. While it was a nice trip, I was also busy with the end for the call for papers, and letting the committee do the vote etc. So, except writing a short trip report for C++Now, I didn't do much on the site in may that was visible to the visitor. Still, in may, There have been 6209 visits on the website:

Compared to Aprils crazy 29500 that's not really a lot, but it has been constant traffic, which is great. A lot of people returned to the page to read further details on C++14, also some people in Aspen were interested to hear about Meeting C++, and visited the page. The only peak in may is the trip report, which also made it to isocpp.org. But that isn't even a thousand hits. So, on average, on a normal day, almost 200 people visit my site now. That's great news, especially with the upcoming conference. The referer statistics might give a hint, where people came from:

As isocpp.org was the only site activly linking Meeting C++ in May, they claim first place. Reddit stays strong, but I haven't posted anything to it in may. Twitter is next, followed by phoronix. The unnamed one is youtube, followed by the rest. But this is only referers, there is another, big traffic source not showning up in this statistics: google.

People have started to search for C++14 and its related topics, and so, google brought over 1800 visitors in May:

Interestingly, you can see this clearly rising, and with the release of the draft for C++14 more people started searching for related topics. In June google has brought more then 100 visitors on some days already to the site. While this is great for C++, most of those visitors only stay on the blog, read what they searched for, and leave again. But already 40% of my visitors are coming back at least for a 2nd time.
