Now that July has passed, a short news entry about what it achieved. Trafficwise July was the 2nd successful month for my project. With 13815 visitors, the average is a little more then 445 visitors each day. Which is quite nice, as at the end the advertising module went live, so you can do banner ads now at Meeting C++!
I had some time to write blogentries in July, with at total of 7 blogentries July was a very creative month, I also teached a 3 day Qt course resulting in a 3 part Qt introduction blog series. Also I finally found the time to create the boost dependency analyzer tool. All this productivity resultet in a few peaks in the visitor graph:
With so many visitors, who are the top referers?
Once again, most of the traffic having a referer came from reddit, but with 4441 visitors reddit is not even 1/3 of my visitors. A lot of traffic comes through RSS, social media and other sources. Also c-plusplus.de has now a banner pointing at Meeting C++. Mobilegeeks is a not C++ related site, that linked in end of June at one of the Jobofferings, in June that gave a total of 1700 hits.
In the last statistic edition I also showed the graph for google hits, there is an interesting pattern this time in this statistic:
At the beginning of July, there was a lot of traffic coming from Google. The reason for this is in my opinion the BUILD conference and release of Visual Studio 2013, as both events focused on C++11, and C++14 was an important topic at BUILD in Herb Sutters talk. In total through google came in July 2471 hits.
