It is just one more month, until this years Meeting C++ conference! It will be a blast, with more then 330 Attendees its going to be bigger then ever before! I am looking forward to Scott Meyers wisdoms about effective C++ and what Hartmut will tell us at last about concurrency and parallelism. In between we'll have some great C++ content.
As I reported at the 16th of October, this years conference is now sold out for a few weeks. There was a little hope that the tickets for the sponsors would not totally be used, so that some more of you could come to the conference. As now the deadline for the sponsors has passed, I have bad news: except a very few lucky people which I already have contacted, there are no more tickets. Space is limited, and I don't want to scale to fast, this conference started with 150 Attendees in the first year, now 2 and half years later we're close to 340. The waiting list is already more then 20 people, but most of them will have to wait for next year.
Sessions will be recorded!
But, I've learned my lesson last year, so don't worry, all session will be recorded. We will record the keynotes and the popular track professionally in 720p, and record the side tracks B and C with video cameras. I'll have to do some editing, but hope to be able to release the videos in January.
For me last year, it was really painfully to see that the recordings didn't came out the way they should. While the video quality was excellent, the sound was either not there or noise, so for last year there are no recordings. I work all year, and often can't attend sessions as I would like to, so recordings are as important to as they are to me. I hope to get a good recording this year, the popular track and the keynotes will be recorded with professional equipment, which is very expensive.
