A new sponsor is joining us for Meeting C++ 2016: TomTom will be there at the conference for the first time!

I'm happy to see a new company join us! TomTom is traditionally strong in the embedded space, and hence a power user of C++. They will be present with their own booth in the main hall and also give a talk on a source code analysis tool written by TomTom. (more details on this soon). TomTom has also career options in many countries.

In their own words:

At TomTom, more than 4,600 employees in 58 offices in 35 countries worldwide are trying to #AchieveMore every day. With C++ being at the heart of many of our products from Sport Watches and Action Cameras  to Portable Navigation Devices, Map Platforms and Online Services, this means further improving our software engineering skills by learning what is new and how we can build our products to be ready for the future. The community has always been a very important resource of knowledge sharing and this is why we are happy to support events like Meeting C++.

The TomTom CEO Harold Goddijn says that "Five years from now we will be active in areas we haven’t yet dreamed of", but even if we do not know which challenges the future holds, we know that C++ will be the most important tool in tackling many of them.
