I've started to share first results of my C++ exploration with my youtube members and patreon supporters!

Currently I try to balance my time to create content, share my own content and organize the Meeting C++ 2026 conference. You can support Meeting C++ content and my work by joining the youtube membership or the patreon supporters. This is a new way to support Meeting C++, and gives you direct access to things I'm currently focused on. With 2026, I've decided to shift to a more content central model for Meeting C++, instead of mostly supporting others in the community. Which is still a part of Meeting C++ of course.

A membership based model will only work if enough folks are willing to support my work with Meeting C++, which is currently mostly funded by the conference. I'd like to become a bit more independent from this, and give folks a way to directly support my work with Meeting C++. With the youtube membership you do get early video access to the Meeting C++ 2025 (and 2026) videos, plus some videos which later will be released in an edited version for the public. On Patreon you'll get the written content and videos/audio.

Meeting C++ 2026 will be on the 26th -28th November, and like in all years be the best way to support my work by having your employer send you to Berlin. Last year was a though year for (C++) conferences, and with being later in the year lots of folks could not make it due to budget freezes to the conference at all.

What didn't work in 2025

There was not a single job fair, as folks seem not to have budget to spend on hiring for C++ so much. I hope things improve and with some changes recruiting also becomes a more important part of Meeting C++ again.

And what really didn't work was offering y'all an exclusive calendar. Not a single one sold, its been a nice idea on how to maybe get a bit of extra funding, but didn't work out at all.
